Mundare

Make it rhubarb or apple pie on Friday Pie Day at Baba’s Bistro.

Myrnam

Order the Shack’s Favourite Burger with one or two patties at Betsy’s Burger Shack.

Start with a savoury daily special, such as soup or sauerkraut bread, and save room for a sweet pastry at the Old Fashioned Bread Bakery.

Lap rich—limited edition Canadian Maple Eh!—local ice cream made by Just For Licks Small Batch Creamery and available at Serben Farms and Métis Crossing to name two.

Order the massive Ukrainian Plate with 10 slathered perogies, garlic sausage and sour cabbage rolls, then roll on out of the Gathering Place Co-op.

Go for the Métis Grub Sandwich of fried bologna on bannock at Metis Crossing.

On the way home, pick up beautiful little cheesecakes—banana and salt!—made by Carmen’s Takeout and available at Serben Farms. Serben Farms also has farm fresh homemade meats, eggs, cheese, artisan sausages, seasonal vegetables, BC fruit, baking and more.

Two Hills

Stop for coffee and a doughnut or cookie at Mini Mex Bakery.

Go for pollo asada, or grilled chicken, if not the enchiladas at Two Hills Family Restaurant.

Burgers are great, but we would opt for Huevo Ranchos in the morning or the Mexican Plate at night at Burger Palace.

Vegreville

We can’t get enough Mexican! Swing by for Crispy Orange Chicken Burrito Bowl at Loco Burro Fresh Mexican Grill.

Vermilion

Go for unique specials—pina colada crepe or cheeseburger salad—at The Red Brick.

Sit in or grab cheese to go—we’d go with dill or chipotle cheese curds—at Old School Cheesery.

Mmm and aaah over a peach and blueberry crumble or brownie bar at Prairie Bakeshop & Bistro.

Pick a night with live music and enjoy a Spiked Caramel Cold Brew, for one delicious example, on the patio at Copper Cork Distillery.
