Town of Two Hills
Two Hills is a prairie town shaped by rolling hills, strong community ties, and a diverse cultural heritage. Established with the arrival of the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1927, it became an important trading centre between Edmonton and Lloydminster.
Over time, Indigenous families, Ukrainian settlers, Mennonite communities, and newer residents have contributed to the area’s evolving identity. Local businesses and community life reflect this blend of histories and traditions. Visitors are drawn to Two Hills for its community spirit and local events, including the annual Ag Society Country Fair and the Run to the Hills Memorial Rally. The Two Hills Museum offers insight into the region’s settlement and railway history, while the Wayside Fallen Riders Memorial Park reflects the community’s connection to the motorcycling world. Outdoor recreation is another draw, with opportunities for golf and access to the nearby North Saskatchewan River valley. Two Hills combines prairie charm, cultural diversity, and a strong sense of local pride.
