Thornhild knows how to celebrate. The main event is the annual Thornhild stampede, now in its 60th year.
The stampede packs breakfast, parade, rodeo, car show, steak supper, and a demolition derby all into one weekend. It is a complete small-town celebration in the region. A year-round adventure destination with Long Lake Provincial Park nearby for swimming, fishing, and camping in summer, plus trails and outdoor fun for each season. Come on down, grab a pancake, and stay for the demo derby.
