Hamlet of Ranfurly
Ranfurly may be a small community, but there is always something bringing people together.
The Recreational and Agricultural Centre is at the heart of local life, serving as a gathering place for events, visits, and community activities. From May to August, the Visitor Centre welcomes guests and offers free overnight parking, while the community museum, set up in a former classroom, gives visitors a chance to enjoy local artifacts, stories, and treasures from the past. Throughout the year, residents come together for monthly pot-luck suppers hosted by the Seniors Citizens Club, as well as two popular bingos held in the spring and fall. Ranfurly is also well known for its steak suppers, which take place on the last Tuesday of every other month. In October, the community comes alive for the Ranfurly Agricultural Fair, complete with a morning parade that goes around twice so everyone gets a good view, a horse show, judged bench show, children’s games, entertainment, and an evening steak supper.
