Edgerton & District Historical Museum
We are delighted to share with you the fascinating details of the Edgerton and area artifacts showcased in our museum. Six buildings stand proudly, each housing a unique collection that tells the stories of our local history.
The centerpiece is the original Grand Trunk Pacific Station, constructed in 1909. Inside, you will find a captivating display of rare and intriguing autochrome photographs, captured by the talented photographer Hugo Viewager in 1913-14. These autochromes provide a vivid glimpse into the past, preserving moments frozen in time. Two other original buildings on the site are the Battle Valley School SD# 2184 and the Edgerton Methodist Church. These structures hold their own historical significance, offering a glimpse into the education system and religious life of the era. The remaining buildings serve as homes to various displays, representing important aspects of Edgerton's history. Step into the post office, general store, barber shop, and blacksmith shop to experience the ambiance and artifacts of bygone eras. Additionally, our collection includes numerous antique tractors and vehicles, showcasing the evolution of transportation and farming equipment.
