When you come to Canada’s Lakeland, prepare yourself to be surprised.
Beyond the enormity of lakes and outdoor activities, our region also features the only backcountry canoe circuit in Alberta in Lakeland Provincial Park. This park covers 147 square kilometres and the 38 kilometre canoe circuit takes you through Jackson, Kinnaird, Blackett and McGuffin lakes and provides challenging portages to adventure on to Dabbs, Touchwood and Siebert Lakes. Experience the wilderness adventure that only the Lakeland provincial park canoe circuit can provide!
Of course, if you want to stay closer to the beaten path you can also venture to the North Saskatchewan River or the Beaver River watershed areas to canoe and kayak.
