A Trek Through History
Imagine: the mid 1800s, during the peak of the fur trade, a Red River Cart journey’s down the corridor that is now known as Alberta’s Iron Horse Trail. Over 300 kilometres of trails will take you down this historic route as you journey through the heart of northeast Alberta and through parkland, boreal forest, wetlands and sand dunes. Venture on to the trail by horse, ATV, snowmobile, wagon or bicycle for a breathtaking hike!
